See the link below to my previous post..
These monitors are wonderful!! I wish I could justify the additional money, as I saw the 24" price, and I actually extended out my hands to "see" how much more space I would gain. :o)
But, to spend the extra $400, I would probably just get a second 20" to have them side-by-side. It's funny with my old 17" how poor the picture looks. I'll try to snap a pic and post later this weekend.
And for anyone considering these... seriously consider shooting over to that popular auction site to pic up an additional discount coupon. Mine was for another $45 off and only cost me 99 cents!
This is the true beauty of the Dell monitors.. the coupons they offer, and how all of the discounts sometimes can get stacked one on top of the other. It truly makes them the best monitors available, as they are very similar to the Apple models (aesthetic aside), using the same or similar Phillips (or whatever they are to now) panels. However, the price just sets it apart (20" - Apple $799, Dell $529; 23"/24" - Apple $1299, Dell $799; 30" - Apple $2499, Dell $2199).
Just to clarify, if I had money to burn, I would have 2 30" Apple Cinema displays and a G5 running them, but it's not currently in the cards. Thanks!
Sean
