if everything is stretched out then you probably don't have the screen resolution set properly. You're probably using the old monitor's resolution. go into the display settings and change the resolution to a widescreen format. And there is only one native resolution on LCDs so if you choose anything other than that one it will look either stretched out or fuzzy. You may need to look up the manufacturer online to determine the native resolution. on my widescreen monitor if the source is anything other than 1680x1050 it displays a message to remind you to change it.
