Back when I had an Audi, I got tagged by a flying buzzard out in the middle of knowwhere. It was playing chicken with highway traffic. It literally swooped over the car in front of me, got caught in it's wake, then dove into the top of my windshield. Not a small bird either; wingspan wider than the car. Caved in the roof panel at the top of the windshield and smashed it all up. It did fly away, but I'm guessing it didn't make it far.
Comprehensive took car of it, but the cop who finally showed up had to be convinced that I could continue to drive it with the shattered windshield.
