The good and the not so good Posted by Ari [Email] (#2847) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ari) on Fri, 27 Jun 2008 17:49:05 In Reply to: Too busy selling bikes.., Mike Lynch [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 26 Jun 2008 14:11:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Bikes- incredible price performance ratio, and frugal, too. Take up less space on the road.
Great for the riders that know what they're doing.
The downside are the folks that decide that a bike is a way to save money so they buy one, get just enough training to pass the test, pick up a Wally-Mart helmet, and figure it's like driving a car.
I've heard the most dangerous time for a rider is about 6 months in - just familiar enough for the initial vigilance to fade, not enough time to be seasoned. If folks are doing it to save money, there will be a group not willing to spend the money on good training and good equipment.
Oh well - evolution remains with us today.
