vacuum noise inside the 9-5 when brake not applied

Since a few weeks, my 9-5 started to make noise (inside cabin) which sounds like air being sucked-in, like an open vacuum hose... this is going on all the time and when I press the brake pedal, it stops.. I do not see any difference in braking power, etc
Anyone has any idea what that could be ? I am trying to figure out should I go on and try to fix it myself, or go to my dealer ?
I think it is probably something with brake servo unit... cannot think of anything else.
