It only takes one opening of the window to break one of the rollers when they are old and brittle.
It can happen at any time and it will, it's just a matter who is driving at the time.
This is one of the different instances where the car might be perfect one second and broken the other.
I really hate it when it happens but it is nothing to do but to explain why and how. Hopefully the customer is understanding.
Valet people always get a bad rap for breaking the ignition key on Saab's and that is inexcusable since they should know better but the window thing is just bad timing.
