I'm not trying to be a smart a**. I've spent most of my life on the west coast of Michigan and now I live in the rockies--both places that get a lot of snow. From time to time we get weather where the best thing you can do is just plain stay home, no matter what you drive. And it's not always the sort of weather you'd thing. Usually the first snow is the worst, even it's only a few inches. It's wet, extremely slippery and no body is used to driving in it (and this in a place where people know how to drive in snow). Where you live you're likely to get that type of snow a lot and people there don't know how to drive in it. Stay home and let the chips fall where they may--where ever you need to go it isn't worth geting into an accident. It's what I've always said to people who buy 4x4's--if the weather is so bad the only way you can get there is with 4x4, then you shouldn't go.
