I'll agree that the design and user experience on the iPhone are the best on the smart-phone market today. I would gladly have a phone that could do as much and as elegantly.
However, having heard many, many horror stories about voicemails being delivered hours late, text messages never arriving, and an estimated 30% dropped-call rate in the area in which I live, AT&T service just isn't something I could sign on for. I've heard that they're much better in other areas, but until their network is improved, I remain an overcharged Verizon customer.
Glad it works for you, though, and I'm also glad to see Apple have such success with their devices. I've been a loyal customer for years, and really love their computers.
