Hey CMyles. The quality has gone way up in my 23 years with SAAB. What's your gripe?I lived/worked through the addition of ABS and airbags to the c900 which was never designed to have all that extra stuff. Don't get me started. The electric passive seatbelt system on the 88 900 was a joke and a half.
SAAB needs a marketing genius. You people mostly buy used. Smart people rarely buy new. That's the problem. GM did us a huge favor 20 years ago. I used to work at a dealership in Richmond,VA that serviced Peugeots. If it weren't for GM, SAAB would have been as dead as the Edsal by 1992.BTW that new V6 from Australia (Holden/GM) is lightyears ahead of the inline 4. Cheeses, have you ever known a 9000 that didn't vibrate your fillings out at idle?
GM has plenty of blame. They cost me a trip to Sweden, but they kept the brand going and improved quality.
