Toyota has been "deny everything" for years

I had an issue with them back in the mid-80's. They were already in the "deny warranty claims that might involve liability for personal injury or extensive recalls" back then.
They repeated it with the widespread sludge problem which they denied for years, blaming it on not doing oil changes as scheduled. Then people stated showing them cars with documented oil changes that had the problem. Scum that they are, even though it was proved that the problem was still there with proper oil changes, they refused to repair cars where the customer could not prove all oil changes.
Next we had the truck frame rot problem, which they also tried to deny, until it was everywhere. Then they finally admitted it and did the recall.
Now we've had the throttle problem for several years. First they blamed it on the driver. Then they blamed it on the mats. Then cars started showing up with it that didn't even have mats. Whoops. Another denial gone bad.
I don't think I will be buying a Toyota anytime soon. They are not a company that admits mistakes or fixes problems, even when lives are involved. (Then again, I can write some stories about Nissan too - denial seems to be the rule in most of the auto industry).
