I bought my first Saab new, and drove 200 miles r/t to take it to the dealer, until he filled it with the wrong oil and wanted to charge ME to fix his mistake.

I drove 200 miles r/t to take it to a different dealer where I had nothing but good experiences, until GM pulled his dealership and gave it to the local Caddy store. I would still be going there if corporate hadn't screwed things up.

I drove 150 miles r/t to take it to the new Caddy/Saab dealer, but when I asked him what was included on the 60K tuneup and he told me 50% of the actual list and 8 things ($2000) which were not, I decided he was trying to screw me.

So I found a local shop 2 miles r/t with a computer program and a willingness to learn. They aren't always quick--they have to discover and they have to order parts and they've never worked on another Saab--but they are always right and they are always fair and they always are happy to back-up their own work.

If I had an excellent dealer experience, as I'm sure you would give me John, I wouldn't care what a dealer charged me. But thrice burned, I'm now sticking with the guy up the street.
