Just an update on the tread I started on Aug 27th about the neighbor that was complaining I was driving my Saab "way to fast" through my neighborhood...
Tonight, I was pulling into my neighborhood from the main highway, another vehicle was also trying to turn into the neighborhood in the opposite direction. Even though I had the right of way, I waved this person on, because I am a polite and courteous driver. After the person started to turn, I realized it was the same woman who just 5 days ago was standing on my front porch giving me the 3rd degree about how I speed all the time and drive way too fast for the neighborhood. Following her, with the intent to see exactly what SHE FEELS is an acceptable speed to drive on these streets, I watched my speedometer climb up to 15mph (the speed limit in the neighborhood) then continue to climb to 20mph!!! Now, unless they just changed the rules, 20-15=5, which would mean, SHE WAS DRIVING 5MPH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT, SHE IS SPEEDING!!! (Sorry for the Cap's).
To top this off, one of her "precious little darlings" was playing in the front yard at this time. I can only conclude, that from this observation, that the "acceptable" speed limit in the neighborhood while there are children playing near the street is 5mph above the posted speed limit.
My neighbor is a hypocrite! I win, case closed!
