GM did come in at a good time for Saab. Whether one likes the product is a matter of dispute. Funny how things come full circle, and some of us (including me) who complained about GM look back now and realize that there was some stability afforded. Parts were easy to find, and the constant frustration of what was next was not present. The 9-5 is a fantastic car no doubt, but there is a GM influence that I wish were not there. The interior does not have the austere European appeal of the 9000, and some of the smaller parts obviously came from the GM bin. If my daughter had her magic fairy come by my garage and offer to make either my 9000 or 9-5 brand new. I would pick the 9-5.
Just my fun thoughts, Mike
