i think it is a continuation of the "i'm the most important person in the world screw you" syndrome.

"i don't need to signal" you don't count...
"i can throw trash out window" it's not my house...
"i'm talking on my phone" my time is more important than yours...
"acknowledge your letting me in? why?" you SHOULD let me in, i'm more...

and it's not just in driving. it's in walking on sidewalks getting bumped, loud cell phone voice in public places, taking up two parking spots in, the list goes on..

yes, it frustrates me, but in spite of that i do try to acknowledge the kindness when it happens, i look at it as "how would i like to be treated.."
