I have noticed a number of new generation 9-5's on everybody's favorite auction site, 2010's and 2011's, some new and others with low mileages. Aeros seem to be selling for 10k off sticker (20%), and the 4 cylinder models with manual transmissions are also 10k off sticker (25%). I suspect that there is no demand for manual transmission cars in the 40k executive car market. I know BMW and Audis with manuals sell for more, but I expect we're going to see a larger proportion of the NG 9-5 sold as automatics than any previous SAAB. Not a bad thing - the Aisin transmission is a very nice autobox. As for not selling in Maine, I think New Englanders are a cautious bunch with their money, and will be wary of buying any new cars right now, let alone one with much rumors of demise. Hopefully, it will all settle out in a while.
