Several companies make them.
Rotary has a sub-company that is probably the better one.
They lift 48" plus, have arms like larger commercial two post lifts - tho coming out from center platform rather than in from outside.
Rated for 6000 #'s and fairly substantial while still being relatively easy to move and park over.
I agree that a heavy tarp to cover would keep the dripping winter salt slush off.
I have a friend whose shop builds vintage rally cars and he uses one for the roll cage install, suspension work, etc, starting from a stripped shell and finds it very good with full access from all sides and the ability to set car at different levels for comfortable working.
I'm planning for one due to the unrestricted access all around the car at levels from 6 to 48+ inches off the floor.
