But doing it piecemeal can be a real PITA. You have to know the workarounds when only doing a section at a time, like learning about split flange clamps and how to patch a system back together.
I just did the whole enchilada on one of my 9Ks. The PO had put a cheap system on there and done some of it in pieces. It was all welded and a fair mess. It banged around and didn't fit right at all. A cordless recip saw got it out of the way and the new one went on easily. But I did need a workaround with the flange on the cat.
It ran me around $400 for parts. But the local muffler shop wanted about $850. To save that much dough I'll spend 2-3 hours under the car. I have to do the whole thing on my other 9K next weekend. Hope my luck holds!
