I just put a masonery blade in a 4" grinder and cut the tile where I wanted the cut to broke the remaining tiles out of the way to the subfloor. The blade will give you a clean cut so you don't have to worry about breaking or a crack running into the part you want to save.
An alternate method would be to choose to put the new wall at the existing grout line, thus enabling you to take the whole tile.
