I know we can beat this topic to death, but just wondering. Ive had some money with 4 very popular mutual funds, distributed in two or three funds within each family for about 10yrs. No surprise ive seen ups and downs over the years but I'm really dissatisfied with most of their performance/return. I'm ready now to make some changes and try to recover some losses, try some other funds for another block of time, 5 or 10yrs. Ive perused AAII website and have tried a trial membership but it's a lot of information that for whatever reason I just don't act upon. As you know it can take a LOT of time and dedication to really understand the financial markets, whether you think you can beat them or not. There's the Morningstar site,Motley Fool,Smart Money etc. I just stumbled on Fundmojo, this site shows ( true or not ) "members" actual mutual fund portfolios, based on their success. I guess one could ride the coat-tails of a successful portfolio and mimick what they do? What do you think? Past performance is no guarrantee of future results of course....I'm just tired of sitting on losing funds and hoping for a measly return or just come out in the black for a change. Someone's making money and it's not me!
