What a difference a week makes!

I was actually surprised by the responses. I am not a supporter of parts inflation. Undoubtedly, it hurts all of us. Since the filing of the SAAB bankruptcy my worst fear is getting stuck at a shop and someone taking advantage of the situation.

In fact last week there was a post about eeuroparts and how they have changed and posts here they are gouging. There was even a post on the 9000 board about how much their prices had changed since 2006 to 2012. here is the link saabnet com/tsn/bb/9000/index.html?bID=302949

At one time Mr. Chadwick trolling this site contacted me. It was nearly 2 years ago prior to the bankruptcy issues with parts supplies we currently face he contacted me regarding a replacement turbo. Keep in mind Chad has been afforded every benefit of the doubt with respect to circumstances with SAAB and parts availability; however, prior to this situation he attempted to evoke fear of crappy Chinese turbos and to instead buy his rebuilt CHRA at a premium price.

I did my research (which the two knuckleheads should have done) and choose a genuine SAAB turbo and probably not too surprising at a price less than Chad quoted for a rebuilt CHRA. In fact his quote to me wasnât competitive with a Swedish Dynamics New CHRA. (They would have been my second choice.) See this quote he provided to another member Turbo Rebuilding Posted by Chadwick (# 569) (more from Chadwick) on Thu, 29 Oct 2009 17:08:36 In Reply to: Re: new turbo, vtsnaab , Thu, 29 Oct 2009 03:44:27X

Ironically, it wasnât that long ago that Chad too was complaining here about dealers marking up prices. In an attempt to bolster his business and steal some business from a competitor, Chad posted, "I have seen many invoices from Wright charging over list price for parts." I don't know who this Wright fellow is but sounds like a bad guy that charges over list? Wow! Sounds familiar doesn't it Chad. Oh, wait that's what you did. Please see his post here at Thanks for the recommendations everyone Posted by Chadwick (# 569) (more from Chadwick) on Sun, 18 Sep 2011 07:25:19 In Reply to: Independent Mechanics in Pittsburgh?
