At least our's does. The instructions say to input the time you want the house to be warm in the morning and the thermostat will learn, and apply, the amount of time necessary to accomplish this. I want the house at 68 degrees F in the winter when the alarm goes off at 4:00am so this is the data that got entered. I didn't have to guess whether this warm-up from the 62 degrees F night time set-back would require 20 minutes or 30 minutes.
