One of my bathroom vents exits straight up through a vent "through the shingles on the sloped part" of the roof - they make vents specifically for this purpose and mine has not leaked for the 10 years that it's been in place - you must insert the flange under the shingles properly.
I think that moving 30' of air through a hose probably won't work very well with standard diameter hose - an analogy is moving electricity through thin wires - you have to increase the wire diameter as length goes up.
