Hey guys - thanks but those programs seemed to be mainly bs, at least the free ones. Typical of some freeware the links get redirected and you end up downloading something else, in this case it's from renne pass now that tells you it's free but then when you go to boot it tells a paying version is needed and it looks like it loaded it's crap into my bios. My main issue is I don't have the original XP pro on CD or else I'd reimage the laptop.

I'll have to hunt and peck a bit more and see if there is something that works - free or not.
