I don't have a particular preference for the Gunson, it is simply what I had at the time, when bleeders like the Motive were much more costly than they are today.
One issue with the Gunson is it has a small reservoir, about 0.5 liters. When doing a brake fluid change on a C900 with ABS, you need to do TWO refills.
It isn't so much that the system contains that much fluid (though calipers, especially with worn brake pads can hold a bit), but pushing the clean fluid through ensures that the old is removed.
"Flushing" the brake fluid is distinctly different from simply "bleeding" the brakes to remove air. With a "flush", you are trying to clear out ALL the passages inside the system and replace it with new fluid. There are a lot of passages inside an ABS system, and the more new fluid you push through, the better the ratio of new fluid to old.
When you "flush" a radiator and cooling system, you can run straight water through for many gallons before doing a final drain and fill with the right mix of water and coolant. That option is not available for brake hydraulics, so you have to use the new fluid to flush out all the old.
Brake fluid is cheap. Follow the WIS guidelines, and maybe drain off just a little more once the fluid is clear.
