First you will need a cop buddy or insurance agent who is willing to bend the laws for you. Then you need the car to still be in the local area. The new buyers may think you are a wack-o or stalker to track them down for the car. If not, then you need them to either be sympathetic to your plight, or to be suffering a bad case of buyer's remorse, or be in desperate need of cash. You also need the car to be unmolested, undamaged, and unmodified since you moved away. And finally, it will cost you a lot more than what your sister received from the Dealer for you.
On the other hand, there is a 2004 2.0T 'vert with under 70K miles and 5-speed manual for sale at Tyme Auto in Plymouth MI for well under what your sister received (car is viewable on the internet). Color is that striking metallic yellow/gold paint with parchment interior and has a CarFax provided. The CarFax states that the price is a couple hundred below market value, meaning there should be similar convertibles available in your area for similar prices.
