Yeah, in your situation with few cars around in your colour, and insurance paying, you may be wise to just find a really good door (really perfectly rust free!) in any colour and paint it. At least with a door, it can be easily stripped and painted without masking... But find a shop that does an exceptionally good job on the paint. I've had no end of frustration with body shop paint! Peeling clear coat in particular is something to watch for. I would check for references for the shop. I had some work done by the SAAB dealer body shop, and the results were fine initially, but clear coat was peeling in just over a year and rust formed under their paint in only a few years. That just does not happen on the factory paint!
