Welcome to Saabnet. Do you do your own car repairs?

Belt (there is only one) and pulleys should be replaced about every 60K to 75K miles. Some folks on this site rebuild their pulleys (there are 2) more often than that (open up, clean and re-pack the bearings). I re-gap my spark plugs every 10K and replace them every 20K miles. Water pumps tend to start leaking slowly, so if you regularly check your coolant level and look for drips under the car, you should catch one in time.

I've only had two water pumps and one radiator go bad in 30 years of car ownership. The hoses are worth changing every 100K miles, at least the lower radiator hose. Use full synthetic oil and change it about every 5K miles. Can probably get by with 7.5K, but most of us do 5K.

Other things I do: replace brake fluid every 2 years and coolant every 4.

Some of us keep a spare DI cassette in the trunk.

I have the Haynes repair manual for the 9-3, and it's fairly decent.
