I been looking for a truck with style for a long time. I had my eye set on a oem 2010 4x4 f150 Harleydavidson truck but all I could find where over 100,000 miles with a price tag of 30,000+ there isn't many trucks in my mind that can compete with the style and detail of the truck. I was trying to find one with under 100,000 for that kind of money. Every now and then a truck will pop up that just gives the viewer the Wow factor but most fall short being something's wrong with it.
Well... I found the truck, not the 2010 Harley truck but an equal if not better in my mind, a truck I could spend many days looking at that would still give me the wow factor after many years. Turned out to be a 2009 GMC seirra 1500 stl 4x4, with a 7inch lift kit, the rims need work but the tire size is perfect to the trucks lif kit. No sagging in the rear or the front, the truck is level. Going thru all the 120 photos there isn't a drop of dirt on it. The under body at the rear wheels and the motor bay looks like it was cleaned with a tooth brush, the door jams look like a new Vehical. The mirrors and radio are the same that's in my 9-3. The truck is perfect and it's style is excellent and I'd be tickled pink to climb in and out of it on a daily basis.
Reason for the truck is simple, if I want to go to lows and buy lumber with out the truck I have to think how much can fit in a Saab, or even a tow hitch on my 9-5 to pull a garden trailer I been warned by many, bad idea! Now there is no thinking I'll be hauling 150 bricks just because I can. If the saabs break down on the road, now I can tow it home or pull one to a indie for the day and not having to pay 500+ to a tow truck company. Mostly I wanted some jet skis but can't because there's no way to get them to the water... Problem solved :)
The truck has a 5.3 vortex motor I don't know what vortex is but sure sounds cool. As for the price of the truck it's under 30grand not by much, I might have got robbed on this one but I don't care great 4x4's with a lift kit aren't cheap. Same thing happend when I found my 9-3 I about chit myself and when I saw this truck it got smelly. I can't even bring a dresser home in a Saab, but now.. Hmmm I'll have 50 of them please. The kids (c900,c900 vert,9000 & 9-5) all need work and having them off the road isn't a problem. The 9000 and the 9-5 will keep the spg and c900vert company out back.
