Yes.. for either platform, model.. the school offers a plan which provides 3 years of warranty coverage, including loaners, as part of their based package..
You can also opt to buy a PC elsewhere, and they offer a package that allows you to add the same coverage, as if you purchased it through them..
Then I can also add the 4th year to that plan for an additional charge (I think its $99), and I can also add accidental damage coverage which covers any physical drops/spills, etc.. for another fee ....which I plan to do..
Regarding remote support. While I'm confident I can fix most any PC or Windows related HW or SFW problem, it'll be too stressful remotely dealing with this.. especially knowing how kids operate.. so I pllan on having him use the schools service..
