Fraternity brother's business after college Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 4 Aug 2015 18:15:51 In Reply to: Re: Numerous Northeast SAAB Sightings, EGD [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 4 Aug 2015 14:56:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had a Fraternity brother from the LA area back when we were attending engineering school in Michigan during the late 70's. He was always shocked at how cheap sports cars were in Michigan. Following college, and after getting laid off by GM, he and his younger brother pooled their savings and bought a car transporter. They would drive to Michigan, buy a bunch of sports car with no visible rust, transport them back to LA, then re-sell them at LA "rust-free" prices.
They made two or three such trips before moving on to something else. So don't say you would never buy a rust belt car as you may already have!
