Nope, it is actually designed to come out for replacement. There is a sliding housing that fits into a notched sleeve. There is only one way it can go in. Possibly over the period of the car's lifetime, it may move with repeated changes because it is a true PITA to get out sometimes due to road grime and sand, etc that creates friction in the housing, but it would be minimal. For awhile I was using NAPA bulbs and they would burn out every six months, so there were a lot of swaps, but I went back to OEM several years ago and have not done one since.
