My take on DC weather after 20-odd years is it's ok except the summer is long, and spring and fall are short. We usually get a couple of snowfalls, and every 2-3 years we get a big one and everything of course comes to a screeching halt which I enjoy, but it's a pain for some. As someone else said, seems like spring is one week and then there's 6 months of summer. You can get 80s April to September. Then 2 weeks of fall and a mild wet winter. It took me a couple of years to come to grips with the summer, and basically slow down and dress for it, to the point where I even bought a wide-brimmed hat. There are a couple of good bits to it -- you do get seasons, (I couldn't imagine living somewhere the same year round and) and for the 'vert owners, you can often drive with the top down 8 months out of the year. More if you have seat heaters and are really dedicated.
A perfect climate? Can't happen. If it's the same all the time, you've got nothing to complain about, or look forward to!
