This will be the 1st of several SCNA local events, that will take place across the States.
We really want to thank Scott and Saabnet/The SAAB Network for being the "Headline Sponsor" for our Virginia - SAAB Meet and Greet. He has always helped support the Virginia SAAB Driving Club with our events and SAAB Convoys. We also want to thank John R, for giving us a spectacular host venue and Amy K, for all of her photography and artwork.
Here is some additional details about the event:
On March 31, 2019 the largest-ever Virginia "SAAB Meet and Greet" Event will take place at the magnificent 600 acre Castle Hill Cider Estate. While savoring the large assembly of timeless SAABs, you can take in the breathtaking mountain views and make yourself at home in the SAAB Parts Cedar Pergola or enjoy a stroll to the SAAB Viggen Lake, for some stunning optics.
Partake in an indoor display of some very unique and rare SAABs and meet some of Virginia's 1st SAAB dealers. Courtesy of our many sponsors, scores of prizes, over $400 in gift certificates and a lot of "SAAB swag" will be shared.
All of our guests will be invited to revel in the private SAAB Aero lounge, complete with a cider/wine bar and a very alluring fireplace. We will also have a "SAAB Town Hall" discussion in the upstairs Turbo X Loft, with several special guest speakers and some very important SAAB announcements --- all SAAB enthusiasts will want to hear what is in store for the SAAB Community!!
The response from the SAAB community has been overwhelming, with small SAAB Convoys coming all the way from Boston, Maryland, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. We have been so pleased with the response that we have decided to make the Virginia - SAAB Meet and Greet a FREE annual SAAB event. We have already secured the location for next year and it is spectacular!!! The 2020 Virginia - SAAB Meet and Greet Event, will take place on a 750 acre campus, which sits at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is complete with; a lake, a gun range, hiking trails, biking trails, basketball courts, tennis courts and fishing. We are planning for a two-day event and people are free to camp out and we will be given full access to ALL of the campus amenities!!! More details on the 2020 event will be shared at the 2019 event.
The 2019 event is going to get underway, promptly at 2:00 PM, with the gates opening at 1:00 PM. Everyone will need to be upstairs and seated, in the private Turbo X Loft, by 2:00 PM. Once you enter the main building, you will be directed to the hidden rear stairwell. Once upstairs, you will take the 20' catwalk across to the Turbo X Loft, which overlooks the main showroom area below --- the 1st SAAB gift will be handed out right at 2:00 PM.
We are currently working on putting together a HUGE event, within this event. Stay tuned to this thread for updates!!
