The maximum amount of moisture that can be absorbed is only that within the air of the head space of the closed container. A pint remaining in a quart bottle will have a pint of air, and how much moisture is that? Put that pint into a previously emptied pint bottle and there's almost no air.
If you aren't concerned about the air on top of the fluid in the master cylinder reservoir ........
