Anyone want to go drag racing

If you are within a reasonable drive from Albany NY, can take the day off on Friday Sept 29, and would like to try your car on a drag strip, keep reading.
The New England Olds Club has a twice yearly activity at the Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY. The club rents the drag strip for the day. The event is limited to 50-60 cars and is open to any make of car. The cost is $70. The last time out in June we got in about 25 runs with time to tinker with the car between races. It's the next best thing to having a private drag strip for the day.
In june I ran my 95 900SE V6 and got into the mid 16s (it was over 90 degrees and none of the cars were performing at their peak). This time it is open racing in the morning and bracket racing in the afternoon. For those of you not familiar with bracket racing it is where the starting lights are handicapped based on an average time you can establish in the morning. In bracket racing a V4 Saab actually has an even chance with the big Detroit iron.
If you are interested please e-mail to cdudash@snet.net. Carl Dudash is the secretary of the NEOC. (link below)
