Oil advice on new truck please....
Posted by JC (more from JC) on Thu, 21 Sep 2000 06:32:29
I have added a new vehicle to my stable & am wondering about what oil I
will use. it is a 2000 Ford F-150 Lariat with the 5.4L V-8 SOHC. I have
used Pennz 10W-30 in my other vehicles & might switch to Mobil 1 after 5 or
6,000 miles. I will be doing some towing, maybe 25% of the time. I would
go 3-3500 miles on dino or 5000 with synthetic. Don't know how Ford seals
hold up to synthetic. Appears to be a great engine, very rev happy for a
big American truck.
By the way, I think the new Pennzoil ad with Bret Favre is a great ad! I'm
sure the competition hates it. Thanks in advance!
