Yes, engineering is a disinct possibility. But work on your English as once in the working world, your ability to present ideas, proposals will make a big difference. What are your interests - mechanical, electrical, electronic, chemical? All of these are a type of engineering. There are others even into the biomedical world. Find the universities in your state and nearby. Find if they have an engineering school. If so, find out what types of engineering they teach. Most colleges and universities have web sites with that info. Then try to visit an engineering faculty when it has an open day (I took one of my sons to Yale years ago for such a visit). That will help you to get an idea of what sort of work they are doing. Talk with an engineer i your local municipal authority (city, town etc). Find an engineering consultant comnpany in town and ask if you can see what they do.
Remember engineering is mostly a very practical job - you design thinngs or you build them or you help to keep them operating. So you usually see the results of what you worked on.
