1. For warranty work there is no reason not to go to International in Falls Church. Their operation is coldly efficient and bureaucratic, but given that it's free (to you, at least), why not? Once the car is out of warranty, there are several choices. S&S in Warrenton is one (though it's about 20 miles away). There's an indy specializing in SAABs about 1/2 mile from International (reportedly started by an ex-Int'l tech) that's been around for a couple years. I've not been there, but perhaps others in the area (Dick in Falls Church?) might be able to comment. I take my '91 9K (136K miles) and my '99 9-5 lpt (55K miles) to Swedish Specialists in Newington (a 20 min. trip from Arlington). I've been very satisfied there.
2. Leave the snow tires in Boston. If you get stuck in the snow here driving a SAAB, it will be because one or more idiots in front of you don't know how to drive in it and block the road. You could be driving a Hummer with studs an inch long, and you'd still be stuck. When it snows, take Metro or take the day off!
