A year ago who even thought we would be talking about it? Interesting side-story/ sort of related. When I represented the Illinois structural engineering board a few years back, one of my board members was on the FEMA investigative team into why the Oklahoma City bombing was so disasterous. A room full of structural engineers could not figure out why the bldg. collapsed like it did. Suddenly it dawned on one of them, they had done a certain calculation wrong (I'm a lawyer, not an S.E., so that's as much as I know about it). It turns out, among other things, that McVeigh placed the truck about three feet from the spot where he would have had to put it in order to cause the most possible damage.
According to the board member, he had to have had an engineer working with him to calculate this location, there is no way Mcveigh came up with this location either on his own or by luck. So, never say never . . . but I hope we are <never> discussing these types of things again.
