that GM didn't expect the loss. The target sales was 140,000 car and only 125,000 cars were actually sold. Saab is losing $500M this year. Let's say if they met the target it would still be impossible that another 15,000 cars sold would make up for the 500M loss. I say GM already expected the loss at the beginning of the year already and the loss is just more than they expected. The problem is the costs that went out of control and they have to fix the problems by scaling back on projects. I'm sure sales will be picking up next year with the new 9-3SS.
