our '97 has served very well for 9.5 years and 151k...its for sale in the local paper as she has "taken over" my Mazda3 hatch. To compare the Honda to my last new Saab ('99 9-5 wagon)is a Sobstory! More components were replaced and time spent at the dealer in the first 35k of the Saab than all 9.5 years in the Honda times ten! The 9-5 settled down a little after 50k (Ileased to 90k)...but the same components on the Saab failed 30-70k sooner than the Honda..so much for age being a bigger factor than miles...I only had the 9-5 for 3.5 years.
My wife prefered the older smaller Japanese Odyssey..but North America clearly loves the newer bigger Odyssey...now built in Alabama. My daughter's...bought at 70k from a Saturn dealer...with NO records..has motored on flawlessly for nearly 20k so far..she really loves it. She sold a 2001 Outback (preceded by a '95 9k aero) to buy the Honda. She says the Honda drives, rides and handles better than her Outback...and gets way better gas mileage.
The resale is better than anything else in the class...so its hard to find a good deal...might be better to lease new...around $350/mo here for 3 years/36k ($0 upfront)...pretty good for a near 30k vehicle.
As far as a site...never found a Honda site that wasn't about "ricers"
Good Luck
Chris
