As long as the interior (seats primarily) continue to look good, I don't mind putting some time/money into maintaining mechanical/electrical. I guess the paint finish has to also play into that, but I'm assuming that the European brands' newer offerings still have paint jobs that look great a decade or two later (like SAAB's).
If 5 years from now I wanted to replace the seat skins of my 9-5, where do you start? Are we talking a custom leather shop, a couple grand$/seat?

2007 9-5 Aero SC [60th] (expect the seats to still look great 5 years from now)
2004 9-3 Aero (ditto)
2005 9-5 Aero
2005 9-5 Arc
2002 9-5 Aero SW (taken out by Bambi)
1999 9-5 SE(6) SW (brief interim between the '02 and the '07)
1999 9-5 SE(4) (taken out by daughter on icy road)
