Rent a car again, see if you can rent a flex.

I Just bought an 06 Freestyle, because it was 1) cheap (under $2500) seated 7, wasn't a minivan, I could sit in the 3rd row comfortably(I'm not short but I'm pretty fat), easy to buckle kids in the back row while standing outside, with room behind the 3rd row for a stroller.

I'm actually liking it a lot, and may upgrade in a year or two the flex if it is a good vehicle. There are things I don't like about the freestyle, but most of those I'm going to change (upgrade suspension, bushings etc for a better ride, and it doesn't have hardly any power), and the others I'll live with (radio is Meh, and seats are not as supportive as I like).
