one needs to see which type of bearing failure(s) occured. There are different types of bearing failures and each type has it's own characteristic. Of course, other factors come into play (maintenance, vacuum leaks allowing dirt/sand in, cold engine abuse etc...) but my bet is on the oil as already mentioned (seems too thin). Seems the dealer should re-check oil specs, 0W-40 is awfully thin for your climate. SAAB recommends 15W-50 or 20W-50 for temps above 20C. Get an oil pressure gauge (which should be stock on these 'born from jets' cars) and if possible a oil temp gauge (to determine if oil is up to temp before high speeding) and start keeping an eye on things. Almost 600k km on the same bearings and I drive high speeds on a daily basis. Gotta go...
