The main issue is fuel delivery at high load right?
This is referenced to manifold pressure by the regulator... SO really need a gauge that looks at both and tells the base pressure. On my dyno we log both and have a calculated channel that makes it very easy to see the deviation. In the car it would be nearly impossible to look at two data points, calculate and analyze the results before the conditions changed. Unless it is terribly slow...
