Basis of need Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Wed, 5 Sep 2012 09:33:20 In Reply to: Re: Any recommendations for rail-mount fuel pressure gauges, Nick Taliaferro [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 5 Sep 2012 09:03:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks for responding Nick. I addressed my question here, because it is only on performance vehicles that I've seen them in pictures.
In my case, the desire is more mundane: simple diagnostics (at a glance. I'd like to be able to monitor fuel pressure in order to see if my fuel pump is performing properly and that my fuel filter is not clogged (basically to rule them out if the engine behaves badly). I've still got the original fuel pump in the car (210K miles). I recently had some issue with the car that seemed to appear and then disappear without explanation (similar to a split induction hose problem, but I eliminated that possibility), and it occurred to me that this is the one big area that's difficult to eliminate during trouble shooting.
It's worth a couple of hundred to me just to have the info whenever I need it, and I mainly need it for this car only, so a dedicated gauge seemed appropriate.
So with that very windy explanation, any recs?
