on a Autotranny 900Turbo, OR, someone as done you're trying to do in the opposite direction...

Anyway, the answer is yes, a manual 900S tranny will work on the SPG engine. You of course need the shift lever, etc out of the 'S. Pretty straight forward.

Get youself a Robert Bentley Publishing "Official Saab Service Manual". I never do anything without first consulting that manual.

'88 900S 16v, 3dr, just sold it about two years ago. Up till then, a one owner car with 305,000 miles on it when sold. Still see it around town occasionally.
