that is not quite so simple...well it is...but it forces hard questions.
rods are available through several vendors...but i think it is best to buy direct from mfg. i.e. pauter or paenz rods. jep pistons are good but of more importance is heat expansion of pistons and the ring wear attributed to piston clearance with forged pistons. additionally if you are serious you will look into swain coating the slipper skirts and combustion chambers...now....after you are done...you have a nice engine...just perfect for chewing through transmissions.
now add to this the fact that stock parts are good to 300hp but the assembly facts stated above should still be considered. (coatings)

pauter flat beam rods are 720 from mfg. 20% discount if we drum up 10 buyers.

pistons about 150 each as well i suppose. i think that pistons is probably overkill unless a full race job is being done. the stock with swain heat shield will last fine IIFFF you keep your mixture right even at 300+hp.

it is a long equation..usually bounded by budget points. i think the money would be better spent converting a 2.1 N/A head into a solid lifter unit with a good port job.

no matter what you do though....you are going to totally trash a tranny if you continually pump hp through it.

I am on my second engine and trans ( third actually) but if i had done it right the first time i'd only have one rebuild so i could have spent top dollar on custom parts the first time...maybe next time...on my spare engine awaiting rebuild right now.:)
