Hello all,

Okay, I've got the open air K+N filter on my 1990 9000 turbo, and it caused me a world of hurt. Down here in orlando in one of our huge rainstorms, enough water got sucked in through this K+N filter to flood my engine. Now i am REPLACING the engine, loads of new performance mods, but that's for another post. ANYWAYS...

I need to fix this problem so it will not happen again. I need the point of air intake to be above the front bumper level, not down towards the ground where the K+N is, preferably behind the grill, but i'm not too big on the idea of a 100% DIY setup...

I've searched the board on this issue before, and I've been recommended to get a BMC carbon dynamic airbox filter system. I have been to their site, and found that they do make intakes for newer saabs...

http://www.bmcairfilter.com/index.asp

and here is a picture of the setup for those of you who are lazy :)

they make a system for the NG 900's, "2.0L TURBO AERO" it says on their site. I wrote to them, and they are not 100% sure that that 900 setup will fit on my car...

SO WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS...

The diameter of the Air mass meter on my 1990 9000 turbo, and also on the NG 900 2.0l turbo "aero"...

I have the feeling that they are the same but i am not 100% sure either, and this filter costs about $300... so i'd like to be SURE. the engine job cost more than any of you want to know, and it will be worth it, but i need to protect my investment with a SAFE air intake, so someone out there, please help.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING!
