Alert me when someone posts in this thread:

Two representative runs. The first, with all stock hardware back in May. The second is from today, details below:

Car: 2001 9-3 HOT, 5sp
Conditions: about 10 degrees warmer and raining (very humid), same shop, same dyno.
Results: pretty darn good
Equipment Differences: JR open cone air filter kit, 3" full JT exhaust, much heavier 17" '04 Aero rims/tires (compared to the stock 16"s on at first run)

For your viewing pleasure, a comparison of sorts. Not all conditions were equal, so the comparison isn't exactly scientific, but I feel like it's a pretty good indicator... I belive the slight decrease in low/mid rpm range is due to the combination of heavier wheel/tire combo and warmer, more humid test conditions.

Overall the increase in HP is real, especially right before red line. In the 1/4 mile with 16" rims the increase equates to a 14.678 at 95.72 best compared to the previous best of 14.950 at 94.96 mph; and that increase was seen during weather conditions that were about 10 degrees hotter as well.

Also, I wanted to publicly thank Nick Taliaferro for his time on the telephone during the dyno runs. We were having difficulty finding the correct wire to get an accurate rpm signal. I gave Nick a call while we were making runs and he graciously helped me identify the correct wire to get the signal. Unfortunately, the shop needs to invest in an extra filter to make that signal useable, but the information Nick provided was correct and just at the time we needed it. Now thats service, thanks again!
